I dusted off an old Fujitsu slate running xp tablet edition, had platform 2.12 this no longer connects to update and downloding 2.23 and 2.24 they both crash.
Any one have any ideas?
Why when it is so old? Just for fun, Firefox 43 downloaded and installed separately. 
if there is no way to update the platform it is no biggie, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas.
given the age its still faster than a lot of Android tablets, yes its no longer secure, but I'm not about to access my bank account on it

The platform works on Windows XP without issue here and should work for you. Do you have all updates applied to your old machine? If not, you can try legacyupdate.net to get them installed since Microsoft has disabled Windows XP updates.
