I have a couple issues.
First, in general, how do I determine which executable to use?
In particular, an example would be KeePassProPortable. On my N:\partition, should it be
"N:\PortableApps.com Platform\PortableApps\KeePassProPortable\KeePassProPortable.exe
or
N:\PortableApps.com Platform\PortableApps\KeePassProPortable\App\KeePassPro\KeePass.exe
Secondly, I tried to replace the contents of "App\KeePassPro" with my original Keepass website portable setup, I've done that sort of thing before with other potableapps, but both keepass portableapps executables generated this error

You want to run the launcher for each app. It'll be AppNamePortable.exe. KeePassProPortable.exe in this case. Within KeePassProPortable\App you'll see a ReadMe.txt which states:
So, don't touch anything in there and don't put your database in there. You can copy your existing kdbx file to KeePassProPortable\Data if you'd like and then open it from within KeePass Pro Portable after you start it up.

I "installed" each app via the platform. So, once I have set it up as you instructed, I can run it from \PortableApps.com Platform\PortableApps\KeePassProPortable\App\KeePassPro\KeePass.exe? Or do I have to run it from within the platform?

You run KeePassProPortable.exe within the KeePassProPortable directory itself. Do not open up the App directory.

I would prefer to create a shortcut to the executable, Not to mention I can create a Scheduled Task, so I can avoid the "User Account Control" confirmation for the apps it applies to. For instance, that's how I launch Chrome.
Oh, well. Disappointing.

You can create a shortcut to KeePassProPortable.exe. Or a scheduled task with it. You shouldn't see UAC except for system apps. Not apps like Chrome.

So, everything is "installed', but, please forgive me if I'm repeating, but I tried to put the custom settings for these apps in the data folder, but they're not recognized.
Examples: Smplayer. It has seven ."ini" files. RevoUninstaller has an .ini file as wellI. Is there a somewhere else to place them.

The best thing to do is run the portable app once without adjusting anything and then close it. That will create its settings structures within the Data folder. Then, if you have settings from a local install or a zipped portable install from the publisher, you open up Data and find the equivalent and replace it. Revo Uninstaller's settings.ini file and its two .dat files wind up in RevoUninstallerPortable\Data\settings for example. All of SMPlayer's settings will wind up in SMPlayerPortable\Data\smplayer for example.
