Confirmed, Addressing

I can confirm this. I'm working on a fix with the new release as there's also an updated version of the base app.

Thanks John

That was quick. Thanks John!

For best results to resolve this issue, do you recommend uninstalling and reinstalling that app, or just updating it with the new version?

I don't have any important settings to preserve.

Upgrade

You're fine letting it upgrade. You'll need to remove the existing files in PROGRAMFILES yourself.

Question...

I performed the update, and it was successful, but afterwards I decided I preferred a clean install.

So, after I performed the update (but before trying a clean install), I used the PAP launcher to try to uninstall Spybot. The PAP launcher issued an error message. I didn't write it down, but it was something simple like "Could not uninstall".

I took a look at the PA folder for Spybot, and everything was deleted except its Data folder. Is the existence of the Data folder the reason why the PAP launcher claimed it "Could not uninstall"? If so, do you think a more specific message would be better in such cases?

Besides the 2 files I mentioned in my original email, any manual cleanup needed?

Locked File

That will happen if one of the files was locked. Not sure about what file it might be or why.

You can remove the whole Spybot... directory in your PROGRAM FILES.

Hmmm...

What's interesting is that, on uninstall, the PAP launcher did not delete the Spybot Data directory in the PA folder. Is that by design?

I'm not sure why a file would be locked in this situation either. Rebooting, and then deleting everything in the Spybot subfolder within the PA folder, and those 2 files in the Program Files folder should get rid of everything, correct?

Thanks for the help.
