[Fixed] Firefox Portable ESR 115.4.0 fails to run on Windows 7/8

I got an error upon upgrading from 115.0.3.1 to FirefoxPortableESR_115.4.0_English.paf.exe on windows 8.1. "Firefox 116 and later requires Windows 10 or later. Would you like to run Firefox Legacy 115 instead?" answering yes launches 115.0.2.

Confirmed, Fix Coming

I can confirm this is an issue with ESR 115.4.0. I'm working on a fixed version. The Legacy 115.4.0 build hadn't released yet and is being rebuilt.

Might Be Related

Edit: Nevermind the below, two systems just successfully updated to 115.4.0esr using Firefox's update instead of manually.

I've been running 115.3.1esr, and it tries to auto-update, but it's an infinite loop.

Okay I thought, I'll disable auto-update (which I thought I had already??) and get it manually here, but I only see 115.3.1esr when I search on PortableApps.com.

Where do you get 115.4.0_Rev_2 ? Is it portable, can install over existing 115.3.1esr portable install?

Heh, I suppose I'm not really in a hurry, just noticed it when FF tried to auto-update itself which must be something either I, or it, inadvertently toggled on.

Passwords

Noticed something odd after FFP made this 115.4.0 update.

I was no longer logged into sites that I normally stay logged into, and am getting emails like "Security Alert. Did you sign in to your account? We noticed a sign-in to your account from a device we don’t recognize."

... this on same system and FFP *install* that I always use for these sites. It does still remember the passwords and auto-fill them. Looks like only a one-time event per site, am now staying logged into them again.

Fixed

This is fixed in the actual official release which has been labeled as Rev 2.
