Chrome Beta PortableApps Update Error Message Received

While trying to update to the latest google chrome beta version in the browser setting area, I receive the following error message: An error occurred while checking for updates: Update check failed to start (error code 1: 0X80004005).

And while I'm thinking about it, I'm having to run this browser in the 'administrator mode' otherwise I receive the prompt that 'my browser is managed by your organization'. Has any other google chrome portableapps user had this issue and if so is it possible to fix the issue ?
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Updating

Chrome's updater does not work in portable mode. Never has, likely never will. You should update via the PA.c Platform or manually: https://portableapps.com/support/portable_app#upgrading

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Chrome Beta Update Process

Hi John,
Thanks for the update, I seemingly am liking the portableapps platform more & more each and every time I use it. I still haven't tried adding an application on my own as of yet, I'm thinking that the process of doing so is similar to learning how to swim the first time, once you master it it gets easier the next time.
