Hello,
I can't begin tell you the amount of satisfaction I currently have with the portableapps platform, after doing some research I've discovered that the portableapps platform is the best possible choice for an application of it's type. Unless I somehow missed it I would enjoy using the platform even more if users had the opportunity to add some applications such as brave browser to my list of installed portable applications that I currently have installed on my 128 GB usb stick.

It's always been supported.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hi John,
As always thanks for responding to my inquiry, now I'll have a project to try over the stormy weather weekend.

John,
I did take some time to read the article via the 'link' that you included in your reply, I'm not exactly sure what all of the information included in these instruction mean. Especially the part referred to here ' in a standard layout, you'd create a directory within the X:\PortableApps directory and place it within there ' for instance & for reference where is ' X:\PortableApps ' if it's referring to a users usb stick drive label, mine is labeled ' D '.
" So, in a standard layout, you'd create a directory within the X:\PortableApps directory and place it within there. For example, if you have a portable program MyApp.exe, you could create a folder called X:\PortableApps\MyApp\ and place MyApp.exe and all its files within there. Then, just click Apps - Refresh App Icons within the PortableApps.com Menu and your new app will show up.
It should be noted that, unlike apps in PortableApps.com Format, other apps labeled as 'portable' may not meet the definition of a portable app according to PortableApps.com. "
X is a placeholder for your drive letter. We couldn't know what drive letter you'd have. Look for the Start.exe that starts up your platform install. There's a PortableApps directory in that same location. Open that, create a new folder within there, maybe BraveBrowser, and place the browsers files in there. When you next start or refresh the platform, it'll appear.

Please just be aware that adding software this way does not make them portable. It is only really for non-PortableApps format software that have portable versions available.
Since you mentioned Brave specifically, Brave is definitely not portable and you will your lose settings on every PC you run it on because of how Google have locked down Chrome/Chromium to a single PC.
I'd like to be able to add arc browser for windows beta version .exe file to a new folder that's located inside of my portableapps directory on my (E) usb drive where I have all of my portableapps files installed, so far I've been unsuccessful in doing so. If the forum allowed me to share a screenshot with you I'd be glad to do so, that way you could actually see what I'm seeing as to the location where the arc browser.exe file is currently located on my windows 11 computer.
You can upload to imgur or a similar image hosting site and post a link to it here.
We don't have a way to upload directly because PortableApps would need to pay extra for the drive space to host all those images.
Hi Ken,
Your comment makes perfect sense, what about using google drive and sharing the screenshot from there ? See if you can view my screenshot image by clicking on the link that I'm including. I clicked on the link that I've included & at least for me it opened up properly.

That would work too.
