Hello, I just made an account here but I've been using the PortableApps ecosystem for years now.
Recently however, I noticed that the PortableApps Updater is very slow at downloading the updates. At first, I thought it could be that the USB I'm using it on is slow but upon digging into it, I discovered the updater downloads the installers to the host PC's temp folder and the actual installation process is relatively fast to begin with anyway. It's the downloads that are slow.
As an example, it's currently downloading the FirefoxPortable update at 51.7 kB/s.
Downloading FirefoxPortable from the download page on the website is much much faster and is equivalent to how it usually is.
I have no idea if the updater is downloading from a different source but slow downloads were never an issue before.
It's likely your closest SourceForge mirror isn't performing that well. Open source apps in the platform are downloaded via SourceForge. I tried introducing downloads via our own download mirrors a while back, but they were overloaded. I may try again in the future when I'm not teetering on the edge as much financially.

Hello, thank you for reply! Does the website also use a sourceforge mirror?
No, it uses our direct mirror.

Got it, thank you!
Maybe that's why people should directly use Sourceforge, even if slower, if they really care about the hosting coasts.

If any one wondering, I worked around this problem by connect to my VPN when check for app updates so it download faster just like before.
