Proxy App Portable

Is it possible to obtain a portable proxy app for computers with firewall?

Also, for Chromebooks?

Music & Movies

Currently i'm trying to download music and movies, and the public library blocks most "explicit" YouTube videos, so even that's hard to obtain music. Also, for bitport to work it needs a properly working proxy to download Movies. I reside in a Treatment Center that only has access to the Public Library for Music and Movie downloads.

yes but how?

would be supposed this to be used?
If this would be let say on your usb stick and connected to your computer, how should a proxy work in such case? The proxy would be in the same network, this would be useless.
If you install a server outside of the network and then are allowed to communicate via this external network, why to have then portable proxy?

Sorry, but I am just wandering how this should be used

Allowed Proxies

The thing about the public library is it only blocks the main domain of the website, proxies are usable e.g. CroxyProxy, etc. But, run extremely slow and certain functions arn't allowed. Having a portable version of the Proxy will allow for download functions to work and for YouTube to run more smoothly. It would be ran via Micro SD 128GB chip. If you have any other suggestions that i could do it would be helpful and you can contact me via email. Also, the library uses chrome book io.

on same device?

so you mean run the proxie on the same device as the actual software is running?
In such case I can not see how this should work. The traffic run via such proxy will be the same as the original one, thus not able to pass the firewall or what ever filters.
You can not have the proxy in same network, there is no point of trying this.
You need to have a proxy outside of the network, and connect to it best via VPN and then access external data this way.

doubt

proxy is a server, standing somewhere in Internet, it has router, an IP, possibly also a domain name and it has all sorts of security provisions build in.
The access does not need to be equiped with a web interface, in this case your local software needs to be set up so it can connunicate with the server.
Alternately, you can have a proxy server equiped with a web interface, this you can contact by entering its address in to a browser.

So you need to build an external server anyway and have all the security features set up, valid server certificates for example, possibly a VPN server running on it so you can reach it with a VPNclient.

You could also try to use one of those 'half VPN' , they have names like NorthVPN, SharkVPN etc.
This is you can use by paying those companies for a service where they transport the data to one of their exit points somewhere on the world.
Sure this is not free and in general a client SW will have to be installed on your computer, this willl then build up the connection to the server of the provider.
If such client SW exists for your computer, I have no idea.

LightningProxies sounds like

LightningProxies sounds like a solid option if you’re into all things tech and online security. I mean, who doesn’t want fast, reliable proxies, right?

yes, but the OP thought a proxy is some kind of an app one can operate locally and it will do some kind of a magic
