[Fixed] fcpyPortable (FastCopy) download error 404 when updating from older version

FastCopy 5.7.1.0 auto-update shows download error 404. The updater shows version 5.7.1.0. But the latest version of portableApps is 5.7.1.2. Is this the cause?

5.7.12

The current version is 5.7.12. I just installed it via the PortableApps.com Platform without issue.

This issue is still ongoing

I using the latest version of the platform (29.5.3). However, FastCopy is an old version 5.2.0. This is the 2023 version. Portable Updater will guide me to 5.7.10. It then throws a 404 error now.

Incorrect

The PortableApps.com Platform's built in App Store / Updater will guide you to 5.7.12 which downloads and installs without issue. I just performed this again. Please include detailed information including your operating system version and bit depth (32 or 64), full install path, how you are checking for updates, etc.

* PortableApp Platform 29.5.3

* PortableApp Platform 29.5.3
* Windows 10 64bit 22H2
* FastCopy 5.2.0 : The old version in use.
* How to: Auto start, or Apps -> Check For Updates: The Updater then displays FastCopy 5.7.1.0. For this reason, the download path in the error dialog contains 5.7.1.0. This seems to me to be the cause.
* Install path: D:\Apps\PA

Caching?

Is there anything on your end that could be caching a very old version of the updater database? What you're seeing is not what the rest of us see:

All updates are fine except FastCopy.

If a cache exists, it seems to be working only for FastCopy. Other apps are properly updated. The platform was updated to FireFox129.0 today as well.

This problem is happening on a PC that does not boot frequently.

The following settings were also tried: Direct connection (no proxy)

Figured It Out

I figured it out. You're using a very old copy and it needed to update from FastCopyPortable to fcpyPortable. The old entry in the updater database was still on an old version, 5.7.10. I was searching around for 5.7.1.0 and there was no such thing which is why I was confused. It should be working now. Sorry about that.
