Hello all,
I have at least one application (GhostScript), shown as installed on the 'Get more Apps' dialogue, which is not in the PortableApps folder (Windows10).
How can this be corrected, and how can the actually installed apps be checked manually against the supposedly installed app list?
Thanks and Best Regards,
David D.
**** I believe I have found the 'issue'!
This app, along with others such as Java etc, are installed in 'Common Files' folder. This seems to hide the app from view. There must be good reasons for this, but how do I call this app directly from the apps lists without having to access the folder each time? I need to access the app to process PDFs.

Not the post I was searching for, but it's clear enough!

Those are plugins. They're used by other apps. They don't do anything on their own so can't be launched.

I had this previously installed, but now discovered it's not in PortableApps folder.
It's missing from the available apps list
and there is a later version https://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/System/System-Info/Porta...

HWMonitor is in the app directory both on the website and in the PA.c Platform. If you don't have it in the available apps list you likely have it installed but hidden within the PA.c Platform. Click Apps and then select Show Hidden Icons.

Is it possible you are confusing HWMonitor with HWiNFO?
A HWMonitor entry is not revealed with "Show Hidden Icons." The only place HWMonitor, a past version, is found, is

Just curious as to the purpose of having hidden icons, and what determines that? Under which circumstances would the user expect that the app they are already using, or are interested in would be hidden?
Please don't misinterpret my curiosity for belligerence. I truly appreciate portableapps.

Did you somehow have it before and delete the app but not delete the PortableApps\HWMonitorPortable directory?
It's there, it works just fine. Looking at it in the app directory: https://i.imgur.com/dM4TnM2.jpeg
Please stop linking directly to an old download for some reason. 1.55 is on the server and downloadable from both the app homepage and from the app directory in the platform.
