Latitude 7280

I picked up a used Latitude 7280 with an i7-7600U + 16GB RAM + 256GB SSD for $126.69 ($90 plus tax and shipping). I bought an AC adapter on ebay for $12.51. And a new Kingsener battery for $31.17 from BatteryMall. Also put in a new BIOS battery.

I specifically bought this one because I knew I could get Windows 7 + 10 + 11 running on it directly as a triple boot without going through a VM.

If you don't have these specific needs and want something built decently like a Latitude, there are cheaper options for similarly powered machines likely with a better screen. It's not my main machine (used desktop) or even my main laptop (refurbished MacBook M1 base model with Windows 11 ARM running in a VM) but it does the job when needed. I even teched a show at a theater off of it a few weeks ago.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

does ssd lost space, also by partitioning

roger, good idea.
do ssd lost space with time?
i think ssd should not be defragmented and lost space, also by partitioning.
have also to find out which raw screencasts eat my space.
by learning much got the hdd quite full, so very sensible by app size.
you sure mentioned by the rss app problem, but want to stay by topic.
million thanx!

p.s.: got some idea for quick creating a manual with affilate links.
ai should quick create a draft. examples: buying used computers, upgrading computer or so.
