The other week my computer at work was upgraded to Windows 11 after I had issues with it trying to boot.
About the same time I also got the latest update for Portable Thunderbird to update it to 128.4.1 on my portable hard-drive.
Now when I try to run Portable Thunderbird on that work computer the app window tries to display but only shows all white and then the "Thunderbird Crash Reporter" dialog opens after about 5 seconds.
Now taking the hard-drive home. I plug it into my laptop with Windows 10 running on it and everything opens normally.
Does anyone have an idea what is going on and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks
You can try running thunderbird.exe directly on your work computer. This will run it in local mode but rule out any issues with the portablization. Just don't set anything up like accounts or anything when you run it like that.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
If I try clicking on any of the thunderbird.exe executables it doesn't crash, but opens in the "Account Setup" window.
FYI - Thunderbird 128.4.3 behaves that same.
