misunderstanding

i thought if it is possible to portabilize it, if a good one was there.
or if only possible or allowed to do a launcher...
i'm very new to ai, and on the other hand it's worlds wide to do it itself.
as of don't think it will be avaliable portable, i try to keep short to go without of it.
here is quit less going on so we got the bitcoin app very late.
i started the discussion, to find a ai which could be made portable or to use it portable with a launcher.
not sure what's best or possible.
other idea would be an ai assistant in libre- or openoffice, but this would be a smaller solution.

i help were i can. maybe you can help me too. threads in account/track.

You can use one of the web-based AI like ChatGPT from a portable browser. That is the best, most supported way we can offer right now.

Hosting your own AI can be very resource intensive - LLMs are usually 1Gb or bigger, some over 80Gb. The really big ones require a lot of RAM/CPU/GPU power so can only be run on newer, high end computers.

But I need to start working with AI for my job so I'm going to look into GPT4All, and I might package it up one day (but GPT4All is 1.6Gb without even downloading a model, so it is only a maybe).

would be very nice to get it in mid term

good to know, maybe it can also be of use for john, for some tasks.
heard some ai should work offline on a smartphone, but have no details.
they will propably get smaller and more efficient.
i will have a look if my fav tech site, high standard and top it mag, does explain some basics.
i have only very few info, but deepseek is out. opensource but you know what stinks, the news said.
would be great idea to have a nice ai here, in mid term time, hosted by known free options.

i hope to get an overview on ai, will propably propose the tech site to give overview, as seem to miss.
no idea if he uses allready one, as he maybe oversaw this thread, as i had a typo by ai.
many thanx!

works on almost every computer!

hi ken,
good news, europes hugest it and tech mag said on 2.6.23 it works on almost every computer.
they seem to love the offline function.
if you don't hear of any data privacy problems, you can go for it anytime.
+ opensource
just need to check who is behind it, not that it's like the problematic one, now bright in media.
other media says 'GPT4All - declaration of independence...'.
youtube says 'GPT4All - Generativ Text-KI local and data privacy friendly'.

EDIT
found two more offline to take a look on: Ollama and LMStudio.
didn't looked yet.
whatever is best, best working, secure, opensource...

Please Stop Asking For App Recommendations

Please stop asking for app recommendations as much as you are. And please stop asking specific people to answer you. This isn't really the appropriate place for it. Requesting apps means requesting a specific app. For finding a given app, Google, reddit, etc are probably the best avenues for that.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

the creator has to have interest in portabilization

it's only a few, maybe you see it different as the forum almost dead, active users seem to be under 10.
not excluding any for answer, but on the propably having in use and/or could make one, i kindly ask for a tip.
i have, as you, regularly to cope with a bunch of problems and some very essential.
i have to keep it lean.
if the one you depend on to get a portable app, has a favorite he would or uses allready and would do it, you understand!?

i have no idee of any other new app i could need.
i try to help and please anybody but have to accept my limits.
as explained, it makes more sense and has more chance for success for a new portable app.
you can have your opinion, i don't mind, but you have to understand my situation too.
i think you do as our sitiation is similar and my lost was even the double in the last years.
i didn't condolenced as it was too late and the last comments were quite old and stoped.
i don't want to go too much in detail as it's too personal.

ps: hope you not angry because of pointing on the bit false release order.
just wanted to help reduce work load as on better order.
