I have just installed the Portable version of 7-Zip.
I am trying to open a file in order to extract it.
A pop-up window appears with the message "Access is denied"
.
How do I correct this problem, please?

Is this only happening with a specific file? What about (the use of) the non-portable version of 7-Zip, and alternatively peazip?

I have the same problem with 7-zip (not portable).
However, there is no problem with peazip (not heard of that previously).
From my point of view, I can now get on with my work - thank you.
From your point of view, ... well, I'm not a techie.

Better to report the bug to the 7-Zip team → https://7-zip.org/support.html
With (If possible) a sample 'bugged file', name & version of the compressing software, etc.
