Thunderbird 1.5 Final

So, it's been out for what... three minutes already? So, where's our portable version? Smile And with that said, I'll now duck behind this handy portable barrier.

I know you're kidding

but please don't even joke about "when's this app coming?". I often have people emailing me directly -- despite making it painstakingly clear not to -- DEMANDING a new version and annoyed at me that it's not out yet. A couple refinements are in the works including a fix for the "Would you like to make Thunderbird your default mail client?" issue. I will need beta testers and will post it in the beta forum.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Consider all future jokes on the subject canned..

I enjoy your apps entirely too much to risk accidental offense! Smile I'll keep my eyes open for the beta.

Cheers,

Issues ?

I know that it's very annoying to have questions about new versions but I saw that there is a beta version of PTB and I don't know what issues are on this version.
You said that there is an issue with "Would you like to make Thunderbird your default mail client?" but is it the only one? If not, what are the other and can we use the 1.5version of PTB without loss of data?

I don't want to be annoying and just want to have informations because my questions keep without answers for week, although I have searched everywhere.

(Sorry for my english, I'm French)

Don't bother JTH!

I'm sorry that many unconsiderate people bother you so—via e-mail?!—but if nothing else, you can take it as a sign of your quality work, right? We are eager, but we shall wait patiently. It's important that this endeavor remain a project of enjoyment to you.

PTB 1.5RC1 to 1.5 Final upgrade path...

PilotBill,

Did you give this a shot? If so, how's it working for you?

Anyone else?

working well

Hello
I have two email accounts and both are working fine. I have no extensions or themes to minimize the variables. The only thing I've noticed that is peculiar is when opening for the first time that day, the “work online

eliminate the 2 "online/off-line" questions

I've also let the system upgrade components of portable Thunderbird to Thunderbird 1.5 final release, and this does seem to work (also working with protable Firefox to Firefox 1.5.0.1). I was also getting 2 "online/off-line" questions once a day, so I reset to always go online, then restarted the program, then reset to have portable Thunderbird ask me the "online/off-line" question at the start. This seems to have reset something so I only get the question once when starting the program.
