Freefilesync portable MTP / Kindle 12th gen

The problem is as follows: This portable version does not recognize a new Kindel gen. 12 paperwhite via MTP.
Both the installed version of Freefilesync and the “Donation portable version” have no problem with this.
And yes, I know I'm probably one of the very few people who don't manage their e-book library via calibre, but prefer to organize the books in folders "by hand". And with my kindle before this new one I used Freecommander XE portable for sync (no chance with the MTP from the new Kindle so I tried Freefilesync)
Maybe other devices with MTP also have this problem.
The Kindle is not displayed at all as a “medium” or drive in Freefilesync of portable apps.
All under Windows 11 with fresh updates.

Older Free Version

The version we host is the last properly open source version before the publisher began including closed source checks to wall off paid features. For all intents and purposes, FreeFileSync isn't free any longer except when installed. I'd wager the older version doesn't support MTP.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thank you for your reply. And

Thank you for your reply. And donation incoming. I just love portable apps (even if I have to pay with a donation like freefilesync, I prefer “your way” of total “freedom” but he.... It was the only app I've found that works properly with the new "Amazon wants to be as closed as possible Kindle", I mean I can't even download books for this Kindle, only for my old Gen 8. To sync MYSELF and CONTROL my Library myself (yeah I know calibre but I like my old: book Nr 1 of author gets a 01 folder name and I "controll" it).... Fuck, either I'm getting old or “the internet etc” is becoming more and more of a “reverse improvement”....
