With all Mozilla dicks moves over the years, it becomes clear that there is no more Foundation, who stayed for free Internet, like used to be, and current Mozilla becomes just a curtain to cover shady business.
So I propose to remove all Mozilla's app from the project and replace them with alternatives.
For web browser:
Waterfox as obvious Firefox replacement (the same engine, support for add-ons)
Official website: https://www.waterfox.net
Github: https://github.com/BrowserWorks/Waterfox
Not so obvious (because based on chromium):
Vivaldi web browser (privacy focused, no monkey businesses, creating by old Opera team members). Open source... in most part.
Official website: https://vivaldi.com/
For e-mail client:
Mailspring? Community edition comes with GPL v3 license, however have also some "Pro" edition with extra stuff. Community one does look decent and not very limiting in base use case.
Official website: https://www.getmailspring.com
Github: https://github.com/Foundry376/Mailspring
Claws Mail - slightly dated and basic, but open source and still developed, or rather maintained.
Website: https://www.claws-mail.org/index.php
Betterbirs - it's like Thunderbird, but better Like Waterfox above, so-called "obvious replacement". They fixed some bugs in Thunderbird reported ages ago and added some new things. Also, despite a relatively small team, they are still more trustworthy than Mozilla.

I would not want portable apps without those standard apps which are perfectly fitting in portable world and have also permission to be portabilized.
And all those requests for chromium browsers, pls check first what are you asking for.

i have also to criticise them for slept over some features in ff for long time.
they didnt heared of dark themes, session managers or tab wall with preview or vertical tabs.
but they have also good sides and since opera is gone (for me), its a must have and still much spreaded.
i help were i can. maybe you can help me too. threads in account/track.
if you don't want to help don't post crap!
I'm glad you're you're not the one deciding all this. If you don't like Firefox or Thunderbird then don't install them. It's that simple.
No agendas, please...
That said, I've been using the ESR versions of Firefox and Thunderbird for years and have had few problems with them.
