The daum equation editor is an excellent online gui to latex editor for turning maths into latex.

I used this portable version of basilisk https://archive.org/details/basilisk-portable-with-flash
with a custom css to produce a version of the equation editor that looks like a native app and works entirely offline:
I set it up to launch with the portableapps launcher with it's own icon, and standard-ish portable apps folder layout.
The launcher is a .bat.
It does what I need to do and well.
Please note I am not interested in learning in depth how to make fully, properly, spec compliant portableapps. I just want to share what I've done. Is it possible? How?

A portable version of Daum would be useful. i went to GitHub and followed the link to the Chrome add-in. I didn't want to add it to my browser, and it had a link to the permanent web page. I followed that link and it said that Daum Equation editor needs Adobe Flash Player 10 or higher, and gave a link to download Flash Player. Since Flash Player is deprecated I didn't do that either. Daum looks like a good, lightweight equation editor, so if a portable version was available I would download and try using it.

It only took me 4 years to realise I could share it on github for free. If someone had told me that in 2021, I'd have done it then. I wasn't keen to sign up for mediafire, mega or other commercial providers that will close it down after a short time.

I have replaced Basilisk with a version that can be run on Windows XP.
Packaged in a PAF exe too! Can I put it on the github as a release?
