When testing the version 5.5.2, it shows this error:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
The latest versions of VC++ are installed. Win 7 x64.
I can confirm this is an issue with the Qalculate 5.5.x 32-bit build itself. It does not start on Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit. This applies to local and portable usage. 5.4.0 and earlier are unaffected. Windows 8.0 and later work as expected. I filed a bug with the developer:

No need to apologize. And thank you for pointing it out. You pointing it out to me let me figure out what was going on and narrow down when it started in their builds. Those details in the ticket to the developers helped them pinpoint the issue and post a fix within an hour.

I have to be grateful, otherwise I'll be doing something wrong, which is not acceptable.
PS. Just noticed this message!

Curious on the meaning of this? As long as you're not doing something outside the rules or being an ass to someone, you're not doing anything wrong.

Real life, virtual life, after life.. A sort of behaviour to be as perfect as possible, even if it's impossible

This is fixed in the publisher's updated 5.5.2b package. It's available from PA.c website now and will be in the PA.c Platform in about 10 minutes.
