Looks like a tiny sibling of MKVToolNix.

The cons:

  • This version does not work on Win 7 (runs but does not accept files). I had to VxKex it.
  • Functionalities limited to extraction.
  • Apparently, only Matroska files are supported: .mkv, .mka & .mks (did not test .mk3d)

The Pros:

  • Extracts the original file format (.avc, .hevc, .aac, .ac3, .srt. etc.). Unlike MKVToolNix that uses its own formats.
  • No need for a third-party app to reconvert Matroska files, when we need (for example) to edit subtitles, make a ringtone, etc.
  • Extracts chapters (.xml file), what MJVToolNix does not suggest at all.

Conclusion: A perfect addition that fills the gap of MKVToolNix.

Works on Win 11

No leftovers as far as I can tell. Regshot was clean.

Nice little app. Nothing that other apps like AVI-Demux, Subtitle edit etc. won't do but all in one place.
