Firefox Update Not Needed?

Sorry, but I couldn't think of a better title.

I'm currently running Firefox Portable v139.0.1. I realize 139.0.4 has been available from the platform for a few days now, but my platform doesn't "see" that my version is out of date. All other apps update just as expected.

I can probably wait unitl the next version comes out, and hope that the platform sees that my version is needing updating, but I fear it may be "stuck" for some other reason.

A few days ago, my PC rebooted overnight with some Windows updates, and I'm not sure if Firefox tried to restart afterwards. i do know that Microsoft won't automatically try to restart a portable app, so maybe something hiccuped there?

I also ran the Portable Apps Platform a few days ago and thought I saw Firefox in the list, but another app errored (I forget which one) and I think it stopped all updates then.

Since then, I'm stuck with 139.0.1.

I don't want to click the Firefox "update" prompt that keeps coming up, as I'm not sure it is the proper way to update a portable app.

Typically, I run many portable apps directly from the portable executable in thier folder, but use the platform regularily to keep everything up to date. Until now, that has worked flawlessly.

Any ideas other than just download a fresh copy of Firefox from Portable Apps and copy over mine? I don't want to lose all my add-ons, and personal settings.

Thanks so much for any suggestions!

Everything else is up to date as possible.

Standalone Upgrade In Place

Follow the directions here for a standalone upgrade in place: https://portableapps.com/support/portable_app#upgrading

All your addons and stuff will remain. This is how the PA.c Platform does upgrades, it just does it automatically. The PA.c Installer it's packaged in keeps track of all your stuff for you. You likely had Firefox partially update but a locked file prevented the full upgrade. This will fix that.

Fun fact: In the next beta the ability to "Repair" an app by doing this in the PA.c Platform will debut.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Holy Cow! I've been using

Holy Cow! I've been using many PortableApps for a while, and often forget just how well your wrapper is written!

It worked perfectly!
Thanks so much!

And a VERY minor request... I lurk the forums regularily, but rarely log in. Is there a way to reconfigure the main Forum page to show the last date/time the four sub forums (Thunderbird, Firefox, etc) were updated? I just normally scroll down the list and look for any recent date/times for updates. I know logging in would fix that, but I rarely have anything to say so I don't normally bother logging in.
Regardless, I really appreciate what you do for us! PortableApps is awesome!
