Workaround fix: https://portableapps.com/comment/261345#comment-261345
Hi! I Use 137.0.7151.104 x64, but when I try Ctrl+H on browser I can not see my history. How to fix it ?
(p.s. full administrator rules)
(p.p.s install directory is not current, is - "B:\browser\Google_portable" )
Chrome doesn't maintain history anymore unless you're logged into your Google account

I am logged in.
I can confirm that Google Chrome Portable 137.0.7151.104 x64 will show your history from your other devices when signed in and synced but will not add your local browsing to said history. It's likely Google has further limited the features available when running with --user-data-dir and similar switches when run in a non-installed setup.

What is the way out of the situation?
The best thing to do would be to use a properly portable browser like Firefox. Unlike Chrome, it's fully portable, doesn't lock your data to a specific PC unless you're logged in, and the developers actively work to support portability.

on x32 local history works ?
History does not work on the 32-bit version of Google Chrome Portable 137.0.7151.120 either

Please try deleting the History file (no extension) within GoogleChromePortable\Data\profile\Default

This is fixed in Google Chrome Portable Beta 139.0.7258.31. The next releases in Stable and Dev will also include the fix. It ditches the corrupt History file to fix it. If you've already fixed it and you upgrade, your History file will be removed as well. It's just been renamed from Data\profile\Default\History to Data\profile\Default\History-Old-Broken. Renaming it back will restore it.
UPDATE: Fixed in Stable/64-bit 138.0.7204.101 Rev 2, Beta 139.0.7258.31, and Dev 140.0.7259.2 Rev 2
If your History was not corrupted, it is saved as Data\profile\Default\History-Old-Broken. You can rename it to Data\profile\Default\History with Google Chrome Portable closed and it will be found again.
