Hello everybody, both new and old!
I come back to the community after checks calender 13 years? Yup 13 years since I was last active, but I plan on making a small bit of a comeback after a lot of things happened with my life.
But during that time, dealt with some hardships, but due to that, I've also become a little wiser, worked on a few projects here and there. Hell, I've been a distro maintainer for a Linux project for a couple of years.
But I am slowly making a come back to my roots, but with just one project, it's a fork of coolplayer, I've named it BriskPlayer, contains some of my modifications, both in audio output and media support. Basically added support for Native FLAC files instead of using the winamp plugin that is currently bundled with coolplayer+ portable.
Anyways I plan on getting a little more active. I suppose this week and next will my the most time I can devote the most time since it's my current vacation.
I do hope to get to know some of you new ones here and reconnecting with some old friends on the team.

Maybe you have missed more things than I know, but at least you may help in maintaining the outdated apps (I'm personally unable to do it, sorry).
Also, the website/project needs other different kinds of help.

I'm just taking the slow route. My main focus is more the project I'm devoting the most time, which coincides with the coolplayer+ portable project by forking the original coolplayer project. Of course that is to get me back into C after several years of doing C++

I'm in a similar boat to you. I never left the site but between work, burnout, a few years without a Windows machine, and a handful of other hardships I stopped pretty much all of my dev activity for most of the past 10ish years (both here and elsewhere), and now just acting as a forum mod here these days.
Last few years I got into a handful of small projects for work and hobbies, and planning to get back into development stuff a bit more heavily, but haven't got there just yet.
Being a forum mod is honest work. Though while I was one, looking back at even some of my old posts from my late teens early 20's, I'm glad I'm a little more wiser lol
