Unsuitable Credit Card processor

This is a rather sad message. I have just attempted to make a donation to Portable Apps via your Finance processing provider:

1: I chose credit card - the system changed the setting to Paypal. I don't use Paypal for political reasons. That's why I chose credit card. That's my business.
2: After resetting, the credit card settings insisted on my phone number, and didn't offer the opportunity to proceed without it. Setting aside that I may or may not have a telephone number, it's also my business who I am willing to give it to. Obviously you, and they, already have my email address. Why is that not good enough?

Paypal is the payment

Paypal is the payment provider we use to process card transactions for most countries/currencies. Unfortunately most other payment processors have higher fees and/or more legal compliance that is required.

The phone number is required by Paypal, not us, and we don't receive it. You'd have to ask them, but I assume it is for legal compliance reasons in many countries.

Other Options

Unfortunately, the costs with other processors are a bit prohibitive when we have slower months of donations. If you'd rather not use PayPal, you can donate via bank wire transfer outside the US, via cryptocurrency (BTC, DOGE, ETH, LTC, XMR), Amazon wishlist, and by mailing a check or money order.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
