External Source Editor Path?

Anyone know how can i edit external source editor path to show an editor in my usb ( in Portable Applications folder )?

i try to configure it from about:config page. i modify the external editor path, but as you know the USB device Letter is changing for any PC. then something like: G:\PortableApps\EditPlus 2\Editplus.exe wouldn't work allways. any idea?

%GeckoDrive%

Do a search here for %GeckoDrive% variable. This should help you with the Drive Letter changing. (This is a mozilla variable that works in any of the Mozilla Gecko based apps, Firefox, K-meleon, Sunbird, SeaMonkey, Thunderbird, etc).

Absolutely untrue. I even emailed the author of Launchy, and he told me that %GeckoDrive% is limited to Launchy.

My Bad,

I thought that was a Mozilla thing. I only heard about it here a week or two back and didn't even realize it was just for Launchy. Sorry folks.

Have you tried using a

Have you tried using a relative path?
i.e. \PortableApps\EditPlus 2\Editplus.exe
Also if you have admin privileges you can use my app launcher, it will assign an environment variable to the usb drive.
App Launcher
What app is this for? I'm guessing Firefox because you said you edited the about:config but what is it used for? I'm not familiar with this option.

editing page source

editplus is an text editor( i think one of the best editors ).

this options make the page source open in the editor for Firefox. when you clicking View>Page Source , it is opening the page in an external editor.

i tried your applications, but sorry it couldn't help me, or i couldn't use them truly Sad

hand edit

You can hand edit your mimeTypes.rdf and make it relative (I don't recall the exact format).

I'm working on a possible fix for this.
