Hi -
I am new to using portable apps.
1. If I purchase a portable HD with something called 'mobile launchpad', can I guess I do not need the menu system available on this site.
2. Would I be able to delete the 'mobile launchpad' and start with the portable apps mens - maybe I reformat the HD?
3. I am basically trying to figure out whether I would be boxing myself in my buying a storage device which had its own app menuing system? or do most people buy empty devices that they configure themselves?
Thanks
if you'd tell us which drive it is...;-)

If you are talking about the Verbatim Store 'n' Go drives with "Mobile LaunchPad", it is Ceedo same as Lexar's "PowerToGo".
I don't think you can add PortableApps Apps to the Ceedo menu without purchasing an addon from Ceedo to allow you to add "non-ceedo" programs.
You can delete the "Mobile Launchpad" and use PortableApps instead.
I believe you can run them side by side as well, but may be issues there.
On a side note, if it is the Verbatim Store n Go your looking at, I would look at the Corsair Flash Voyager on NewEgg.
The Verbatim Store n Go is a 1" harddrive and very slow compared to current flash drives. The flash Voyager is better priced and faster at least from what I found doing a quick search.
Store n Go 12GB 160.00
Flash Voyager 16GB 140.00
