Is there a setting in TBird portable that will automatically mark a message once I have sent a reply to it?

I did search the knowledge base but got pages and pages of matches for my search. After sifting throught he first 3 or 4, I gave up. If it is enabled in TBird portable, it is not working on my installtion. Could you please direct me to the article or posting in the forum pertaining to it? can you tell me which search terms to use? "replies" and "marked as replied to" didn't help me.

As I mentioned, it's built into TB. When you reply, the icon that looks like an open envelope (or closed for unread) changes to have an arrow on it.
