The Seagate is slightly faster than the Voyager GT. If you need the capacity & slight extra speed, go for a portable HD. WD also makes a good one. If you want the smallest thing that performs well, go for the Flash Voyager GT.
Sorry I don't have more objective information. I haven't had time to actually benchmark things. I started with the plain Flash Voyager (non GT), and found it too slow to run Firefox. The Hard drive was zippy but too clunky, and I was worried about the Seagate's mini-USB port ... one time I forgot my cable provided with the drive, and no other mini USB cable I had (3 others!) fit in the receptacle, because it was so recessed into the enclosure. So basically, if you loose your cable, you could be in trouble. Then I tried the Flash Voyager GT, and I'm happy.
I just bought the flash voyager gt and was going to say the same thing.
For those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

I've tried Firefox on 3 portable devices:
Corsair Flash Voyager 4G : Terrible
Corsair Flash Voyager *GT* 8G : Very good
Seagate Portable 160G / 8MB Cache : Excellent
