John T Haller Law Center

This site was pointed out to me when one of the youth I work with in a youth group in my commmunity when he was doing a little research on John T. Haller and he found this out http://www.hallerlaw.com/. I looked at it and got a chuckle or 2 from it. seems there are 2 John T. Haller. I wondered what happened to one of a kind :P. Anyway to make things even more strange my fathers name is Mark-Anthony Rector. about a couple of years back we were recieving mail from someone else with that name (Yes last name as well was Rector too) as well. strange isn't it and he lived down the road too. Different people but same names. I wonder if there are other people with same names as well. Anybody have these expirences yet?

There are a bunch of us

Haller is actually a pretty common German name. (I'm a complete mutt - 7 different things - but my name is German.) And John is, well, about as common a first name as you can get. So, there are actually a bunch of John T. Hallers out there. There was a Haller chocolate maker in Germany that was pretty good. I even had a manager once when I was a waiter back in high school whose last name was Haller and he had a son named John.

Yeah

I understand the idea of being a mutt. my last name being Thibeau which is french (even though I don't speak a lick of it) (get it lick,Mutt :P) but my background from my mother's side is german, dutch, a little bit of swed in me and even french My father's side was mostly french in his blood so I'm more french than my mothers side

I (+ family) live in Switzerland.
I once googled for my Brother and found a bald body-building german basketball-player...(My bro isn't bald nor basketballplayer) Wink

I did some research as well

Being that Mr. Haller is such a mysterious man, I tried doing some research. I found out that Haller was a German last name (which explains a few things that I've seen here). I myself am Mexican by birth, but I'm actually 1/2 Mex. 1/2 German. And it seems that neither my name (Olaf) nor my last name are very common, not even in Germany. So every time I see either one, I get pretty exited. A while back, on the X-Files, I saw a Brunjes store in NYC.

Mysterious?

Hmm... never been referred to as mysterious before online. I always thought I lived a far more public than normal online life.

Hey,

you use a full name, in my books that makes you less mysterious than >95% of the net.

What I meant

Is that, there are a few topics here on the forums that ask personal stuff (your fav computer, dream computer, tell us about yourself, fav apps, what apps do you have, etc), and John just never answers them. That's what I meant by mysterious, not that he's hiding from the rest of the world or anything like that.

Ah

I usually just don't have the time. I didn't know that anyone was really wondering about me.

You,

know this is starting to get quite funny, me and Ryan were having a conversation about this a couple of weeks ago about how you don't seem to post in any of those topics.

Well

Well I guess you could create a Staff introduction forum so that anybody can take a look at and ask their questions or even start a blog and not just on your other site John

Oh, come on!!!

Can't you see that everybody here just LOVES you for what you do!!! That's why every time someone new tries your programs, they join the forums and their first post is a Thank You message. And everybody is interested in you, that's why someone always asks "How about John, he has not answered".
Now, as far as the time issue, well, I understand. I just don't see how you can do your "real job", have your personal life and still have time to do this here. I mean, I've seen things that you post at 2,3,4 a.m. It must be killing you.

Well

I fully agree but if you are in a different timezone but in the same forum, things become nice...
For example:
When I start posting here in the morning, for Ryan its lunch break time.
:\ducks away just in case he screwed up with his calculations and Ryan starts searching for him with a :(:barf: look\:

When I go to my account I can click on the portable device that I have and it will list everybody who has a similar portable device. How about doing the same for countries?

Well, thanks

Well, thanks for the compliment. If people are actually interested, I'll make a point to drop a note in similar threads in the future.

And, at the moment, I eased back on working my real job (web applications development in the financial services industry) to work on portableapps.com. I'm hoping to make it self-sustaining so I can pay my rent and funnel some money back into the open source projects on which the portable apps are based. Haven't quite gotten there yet.

Yeah

Yeah Really. thats pretty weird if you ask me. At least each peoples expirience makes them as they are. I mean if everybody experienced everything in the same way as I did or even one individual. The world would be a boring place. Personally I like being me for who I am. And as far as I know I am the only Zachary Edgar James Thibeau that I know of (I hope)
EDIT: Well I did a search and as far as I know I found an old website that I did a long time ago with freehomepages.com that someone hacked saying that I hate you go away with my old email address with it but other than that I can't find any evidence of any other Zach Thibeau anywhere
Hmmm it seems my first and only Portable Songbird was called a virus at http://vendors.prevx.com/VVGJCA112803/by+Zach+Thibeau.html
but other than that I'm one of a kind on the net

OK, how about this

I saw this on some sort of news station in the U.S. This girl writes a letter, ties it to a balloon full of helium and lets it go. Later she receives a letter though mail from another girl. Here are the similarities that they have: Same name, same age, same hair color, both live in a farm, both have the same pets (including a Labrador) and a few other things that I can't remember. After then they became very good (if not best) friends. Now that's weird.
