I guess many of you will know Kaspersky Anti-Virus. It`s imho (!) a good and scanner. You can get more informations about their products on http://www.kaspersky.com/.
It`s a commercial product, their is a free trial version but them want you to buy a license.
This instructions will explain how you can use Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.x in a p ortable way.

Legal notes(absolute no gurantee!):
- If you bought a license for Kaspersky Anti-Virus you may use it on your computer.
- As long you don`t use it on your computer you may travel with and you it on another computer. To avoid installtion you use it as portable.
- I guess it`s same like thing with bart pe / ubcd4win (legal bootable windows cd/usb). If you are unsure uninstall it from your computer before you use the portable version or buy a second license.
- You better ask them if you are unsure about legality.

Short & easy instructions.
Disadventages:

1. Extract kav6.en.msi with Universal Extractor. (http://portablefreeware.com/?id=641)
2. Join the folder new "kav6.en".
3. You may delete "kav6.en.msi" and "System".
4. Join the folder "Kaspersky Lab".
5. You may delete "AVP6".
6. Join the folder "Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0".
7. Run "avp.exe".
8. Run update.
9. You will still see "signatures" (virus pattern files) are obsolet. Don` worry. Just close the programm and start it again, the error should be away.
10. You may cut, copy or rename the folder "Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0" however want.

This instructions will help to include Kaspersky into the portable apps suite. It`s only for "avancend" users, many things can go wrong.
11. Create a folder "KasperskyPortable".
12. Create a subdir "App" inside folder "KasperskyPortable".
13. Create a "KasperskyPortable.bat" in "KasperskyPortable".
14. The content of cd "KasperskyPortable.bat" must be:
cd App
start avp.exe
(I might add that "start .\App\avp.exe" will not work because of wrong working directory.)
15. You need a bat to exe compiler, you will need to search for it. Shareware is found easy and freeware not that easy (don´t know any right now). Optional include the icon if the bat2exe compiler supports that or include the icon with ResHacker or w/e.
(You could programm your own launcher aswell if you can write programms.)
16. You are done and may now include Kaspersky inside the portable apps suite.

As said before, I guess it`s not 100% portable. I am almost sure that it writes to registery. Unfortunality I don`t know how to clean up the registery after closing the programm but I personaly don`t care about registery on foreign computers as long it doesn`t mess up the system or contain personal informations.

Dose this work with KIS? If so, i will release a launcher under autoit
It works almost on the same way, you just need to extract twice with UniversalExtractor.
Oh well. I forgot to add, I won´t promise to much. If you want so, it`s a hacked version of the WinPE / BartPE version and I guess it was not desinged by default to run in normal windows aswell too.
So only the Scanner is working but no other services such as self protection or on access scan.
And the leightweight version of KIS is the same like the leightweight version of KAV so there is no need to use KIS instant of KAV.
If you want the backround services to run aswell to in portable mode... Good luck! Not impossible, but unfortunality to complicated for me. But it would rock indeed.
