Spyware and Adware Programs

This is my first time posting so please be patient with me. Most freeware programs can be found on majorgeeks.com

My favorite freeware programs are:

CCleaner
Spybot and Destroy
Ad aware

I do not know of any programs that can help with banner ads or flash ads but that would be nice too.

Firefox...

There are lots of extensions for Firefox which blocks banners and flash (NoScript, Adblock Plus, Flashblock). You can find them here: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions.php?app=%7bec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e...

CCleaner

Hello.

I would really appreciate it if I could get CCleaner on my Pen Drive. I use it at least 3 times a day and I love it.

Please support this and update it often.

Thank you.

Uhh.

Please support this and update it often.

Seems kinda demading to me. :S
Maybe it's just me tho, you're in the request apps forums, so there's no reason
to ask for people to support it.

Yo:

Portable CCleaner coming up - get it here:

http://pensuite.wininizio.it/eng/?page_id=13

You'll hafta DL the Pensuite "System" suite (DL size = 64 MB), and then copy over the directory containing CCleaner to your thumb - once you get the suite all set up & such.

From there you can just uninstall/delete the suite, if you wanna save on some HDD space. However - I'd recommend browsing thru it *first* to see what other useful stuff you may be able to find. Some real gems in there, in my experience...

I Know

Hello.

There is an unofficial non-support portable version of CCleaner on its forums but I am asking for a PortableApps suite version of it. Lol.

Anyway, sorry if the post was demanding. Wasn't meant to be. I'd just like to see this PortableApps idea/program flourish. I use it all the time!

Thank you.

the Winzio Pensuite truly portable?

Depenz on what yer definition of "truly" is, among other thingz.

My definition of "portable" is
"I can run it off my USBthumb, w/o needing to install the sucker"
(others here refer to this as "mobile", among other terms)

If you mean the PA.com definition of the term, then you'd hafta test each app out for yourself to see if it leaves any traces of itself behind.

Me, I couldn't care less if it leaves some stuff in the Registry.

Or, as they say down South
"IDMNNMTM"
("It Don't Make No Never-Mind To Me"...)

If an app uses

the registry it might be that you can;t keep the settings on the thumbdrive.

Backup?

Hello.

If you clean the registry on a computer, I would think that the backup that you can make would allow you to use it still on the computer.

Thank you.
