Nope. You can do as PortableApps does and add entries on usage, and remove them on termination.
Windows locks the registry at a very low level. There certain parts that only the system accounts (not even an admin) can access. And don't ask me which parts because I don't know.

First - let me say I really appreciate PortableApps and the work John has done - I hope he doesn't take offense to any of the following. I just started using PortableApps and with the help of some folks in the forum I have ben able to make some of my own launchers. However, seeing that my work environment likes to restrict what you can and can't do, I haven't been able to make e-Sword (Bible study application) run from my drive because it is trying to register some ActiveX components (RichText.ocx for one). I saw where folks in this forum talked about Ceedo and decided to give it a try (30 day evaluation available). The install worked okay and e-Sword runs on my work environment which leads me to here - it sounds like Ceedo has the ability to do sorta what portablekid was asking at the beginning of this thread - "make parts of the registry portable".
This is the part I hope John doesn't get offended - why can Ceedo do it but PortableApps cannot? OR am I too dense to figure out how to do it with PortableApps.
Just as an added piece of information for those looking at Ceedo - Ceedo's installer doesn't work with all programs - I was only successful with 2 out of 3 applications I tried and things appear to run slower under Ceedo than they do when launched from PortableApps.

Have you tried just clicking through the warning about the activeX components. It works for me at work and at home.

Yes I have tried..works great with PortableApps as long as I have Admin rights...If I don't then I get 3 message; one for the spell check, one for the thesaurus and finally the third for the rich text (all activeX components I believe). I click through them and then nothing....the application doesn't run. I would be okay with the ugliness if it would run.
Again, not to flag Ceedo in anybody's face (it has it's cons as well)...however e-sword seems to work fine with it on a no Admin Rights PC???
Are you using the standard or the portable e-sword launcher?

Portable launcher... however, you got me thinking, this was the first thing I tried to put on my drive and I really didn't understand the structure. I had problems with the launcher originlly from the User's Group and by moving files back and forth I was able to get it to work at home but yet still have Admin issues at work. Now that I've built 1 or 2 launchers and have a better (yet still limited) understanding of PortableApps and its structure I think it's worth my time to start from scrtach and try again.
I'm still curious if anybody has any input as to how Ceedo deals with registry (appears from the laymans point that it is able to get around a non admin account). At least it seems in my specific case that it gets around the issue...I could be wrong.

One of the most compelling features of Ceedo is the fact that it maintains its own file structure that matches right up to Windows. There are the Program Files and Windows folders, the All Users and %userprofile% directories, and even a registry. Ceedo uses these by capturing and changing file calls to their respective cloned folders on the portable drive, and even makes it so that clicking Desktop or My Documents in the Save As dialog boxes will redirect to the respective folders located on the flash drive.
