Your computer

Your computer is adding that file. It is similar to desktop.ini. It is a hidden system file. It does nothing other than remember the thumbs in a folder.

I, at one point, did Brutal Chess, but I think I lost the files. If I find them, I will post them.

Nobody should start to undertake a large project. You start with a small _trivial_ project, and you should never expect it to get large. If you do, you'll just overdesign and generally think it is more important than it likely is at that stage. Or worse,

Hmm

I might have a look, but it probably won't run on my computer, I'd have to do it on the laptop.

Looks good, from what I can

Looks good, from what I can see, nothing was left behind. One thing i did notice, and it could just be a bug in the game itself, if you try to close the game after the game ends (checkmate) the app freezes for about 30 sec to a minute, but will close fine if closed mid-game

Well, *sniff* *sniff*, I'd rather not talk about it , but I plugged him in (I hadn't backed it up in a week ) and he just, well, didn't work. I quickly took him out and tried him on every other port. And, since we're talking about him now, he's *starts bawling*, gone!. Wink

Really?

Let me check.

Edit: Seems as though it reads the Data one but sets one inside the App directory. I've got a solution.

Edit 2: Grab a copy of the test launcher from my site. Please note: you need to copy this file into your WinBoardPortable folder then run it. If it works, I'll post an updated release.

Works Now

Hello Ryan McCue

I tried your test launcer. It worked for me. I made a number of setting changes to the game and they were all saved. Even the position of the board was saved. I made board size changes, font changes and color changes. They all were saved and reappeared when I restarted the game.

I am waiting for this one to go offical. It may replace Soduka.

Hello Simeon;

It was a boo boo on my part. Perhaps John can add a spell checker to the posting machine. Because I at times need one real bad.

Great

That's great! I'll upload a full version with this new launcher (soon).

Yeh, I just have to get a high-res logo, get the splash from John then send it to him to test (alternatively, he could add me to the SourceForge project, even though I hate SF).
