My super dupa NOT Corsair flash cruiser 8gb has just died, it will not read at all, does anyone know of any way of rescuing thre data, i do have a back up from a few days ago, so not really too bad just annoyed that it has died and is only 4 months old

If it's the controller inside it that died and not the flash ram, it is possible to recover it. You need to use one of those recovery firms and it's quite expensive. Or you can buy the same drive and get the ram from the old drive to the new one if you happen to have the right equipment and are very handy with a solder/desoldering iron. This would be beyond most folks ability, though, including mine.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
But you make it sound so simple.
