Hi there,
I want to create a CD-ROM based on a portable web server and have a problem with Windows Vista. The portable web server (Server2go) crashes if it is not launched as an admin, so it's needed to force a UAC dialog for running it from autostart in Vista.
My idea now is to create an NSIS wrapper dialog, that forks the Server2go launcher, so if the wrapper dialog causes a UAC verification the server will start correctly.
Could anyone help me with this, please? I do not know NSIS well, only have read about it and installed it a few minutes before, but I don't think I'd get this to work that quick, so any help is apreciated

Just rename the EXE to include the word 'setup'. Vista is dumb and will assume it needs admin permissions.

Please re-read the forum guidelines. You are not to post links to websites that are part of your entity, this is known as self-promotion. Be thankful I caught this before John did. Also, if it's your signature, then you must include a dividor and instead of a URL as a link, it must be something like My Blog or My Site, like my signature.

That actually looks like a personal blog to me, if I'm not mistaken. So all that needs to be done is to change it from a paster in URL to a "My Blog" style link.
Please don't jump on new users who may be unaware of the guidelines. It's not nice.
