Just use Universal Extractor

Just use Universal Extractor to extract the files from the setup.
You may need to copy the files from {sys} to {app} for systems that don't already have the files installed locally.
Also NetTools requires .NET so it can't be made completely portable without a 5,000$ license for thinstall.

Well

It needs the .NET Framework so it will not be fully portable.
And... I dont trust the software od guys whose main projects include things like "Mailbomber".

This program rules whether

This program rules whether you like it or not, it should at least be made to let people see what it can do...

SiteAdvisor

McAfee SiteAdvisor doesn't really like the page...

In the future don't bump old

In the future don't bump old threads just to say your company's web filtering software won't let you see the page. No one cares.

Email a link to your home email and browse it from there.

Next time I'd advise to

Next time I'd advise to please check into what exactly the reference is before you comment with a "No one cares".

It's a little more professional/intelligent to comment with something that actually fits and adds to the posted comment than posting some rude garblings, spouting from ignorant finger-tips.

Here, I'll even make it easy for you:
http://www.siteadvisor.com/

So... Now that you are hopefully a little better up to speed and see that it has nothing to do with my "companies web filtering software" you should be able to understand exactly why I posted that. If not just say so and I'll have my 9 yr old girl sign-on and explain it in "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" terms.

Ok, it's not web filtering software. Big deal.

The point is you bumped a 8 month old thread to post that Siteadvisor didn't like it. Like I said, no one cares. Bumping ancient threads with zero value added is frowned upon.

Snide, snappy, rude comments

Snide, snappy, rude comments are also frowned upon....even if the act that brought said comment on is frowned upon as well.

...

It should end with this, just because I hate when people share their work
(even if it's non-GPL) and get thanked with wrongful crap-ware accusations :

How does it modify my system?
In our tests, EXE Joiner (exejoiner.zip) did not make any changes to the system registry.
The following file system modifications were detected:
ADD c:\temp\unzip\Joiner.exe
ADD c:\temp\unzip\Patch.EXE
ADD c:\temp\unzip\Readme.txt

Ahhh...

Ahhh...

Just wondering if you intentionally left out this one:

The full write up is here:

The guy was trying to be helpful.
SiteAdvisor has some questions about some downloads at the site. He brought it to our attention. Give him a break please.

His only fault was reactivating an old thread; he felt harshly responded to; and I think he was.

Now, can't we all just get along.

Thank you Tim. I've been

Thank you Tim.

I've been around different forums since 98-99 when they were still mainly mass emailings. So, I have a little grasp of etiquette and "the rules" even though I am new to a lot of the things being done here.

This started with me looking for a scanner that would test and snoop out any vulnerable points on this PC. I did a search and it gave me this thread. "Humm, cool set of tools. Let's go see. Ah S%!t, possible issues. Gonna have to look closer to see if I really want to download and use this."

That's all it was. I don't care if a thread on any forum is 1 minute or 5 years old, if there is a potential for harm and something can be said to warn others from blindly following the masses into maleware hell I should say so. And did.

The intention was nothing more than a gentle nudge, "Hey, be careful, check this out, make an informed decision." Hopefully I'm not the only one here that would do this.

And as far as reviving an old threads goes... Who cares. Any forum that has mucho activity and it's only a matter of a day or so before the thread is tumbling back down the list to the depths it belongs if it was that irrelevant of a posting. Or maybe it rekindles into a new conversation... New tools referenced; new thoughts provided.

and to a "new member" this is a "new thread". They are all new threads...

how to easily make net tools 5 portable

this method is a little messy. first in the portable apps folder create one called net tools. now run the setup.exe for net tools 5 and change the install directory too the folder we created. open the platform and open net tools 5 by...ect.. and it should work
