I can't set language to english.
Under options > Language settings > Writing Aids > Available language modules > edit.
I can't change it to anything, it just stays on 'Czech'
The version i'm using is 2.0
Thanks,
Steve

Try a fresh download of Portable OO.o 2.0.1. It should be English by default (and that's the only language included).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I checked again, and I am using a fresh copy of 2.0.1, still the same oddness.
I did a big of digging around and found this folder 'PortableOpenOffice\openoffice\share\dict\ooo'
It looks like (mind you, i have no idea) the place where some of the lang/dic file would be keeped. I found files like these:
th_cs_CZ_v2.dat
th_en_US_v2.dat
hyph_ru_RU.dic
hyph_en_GB.dic
th_cs_CZ_v2.idx
just to list a few random ones
also there seemed to stuff other than english eg. files with these codes: CZ, DE, DK, IT, RU
Thanks for your help
Steve
What language is your OS set to as default?
Has OO.o ever been installed on this PC?

English Australian, never installed, using win xp
but I'm not sure what. Try a fresh download and then ditch the CZ files in the above directory you mentioned.
