There is currently a discussion over at oooforums [here], whether to remove the hidden Easter Eggs from OpenOffice. Since I use a portable version I would like to see them gone to save some disk space. Please add your Votes and comments on the oooforum, to see if this issue can be resolved.

I'm not going to register over there, but here's my $0.02:
Easter eggs are small, and it doesn't matter whether you remove them -- you're making a mountain out of a molehill. As far as I know, they aren't a big problem -- especially because of the $10 512MB flash drives you can buy at many stores. If you're really worried about space, just use Writely.

FWIW I'm not particularly phased by the EE's, but since this Issue keeps coming up, I wanted to try and find a solution in my capacity as part of 'oooqa'.
Yes I am one of those geeks who counts every byte... Is it just obsession? For sure ;).
