I downloaded some fonts using the included "Wizard" and it left a couple of files in C:\Documents and Settings\username\local settings\Temp\fontooo\
I use the latest (German) beta.
Maybe a hint to this on the support page would be good or can the Launcher fix that?
Hi simeon,
The German Pre release verson of 2.2 comes with a pre-configured Temp path to the temp directory within the PortableApps Suite. If this directory don't exist (in the case You use OOoPortable without the Suite) tempory files (and only them) will stored in the default temp-directory of the user.
You could fix this manualy and set the temp path with 'Tools-Options-Path' to another (existing) path or create a temp-Folder in the same hierachy like the OpenOfficePortable folder or using OOoPortable 2.2PR with the Suite Stuff.
The intention was using a general temp and documents folder for all portableapps in order to find them easier.

Is there any documentation for this?
The temp folders name is just /PortableApps/Temp?

it doesn't work.
I tried it with a fresh copy and it chose the normal temp folder.

The DE version should be exactly the same as the EN version with only the messagebox strings changed. There should be exact version parity in terms of features and code between them. You're just doing a localization and packaging, right?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hi John,
it's all the same with only one difference (I wrote to You per mail)
In order to use the folder Dokumente instead of documents (and Bilder instead of Pictures) I had to change the line:
IfFileExists "$EXEDIR\..\..\Documents\*.*...
to
IfFileExists "$EXEDIR\..\..\Dokumente\*.*...
A real localization should be on the folder structure too.
I'll be happy if we could use a var instead of a fixed path string, then we could use different paths with exactly the same code base.
Only to change messagebox strings without thinking (and understanding) about the idea behind it is'nt really a good job.
I hope this is aceptable for You.

do you know the Launchers over at framakey.org?
They have a separate file for all the translationable stuff so you only have to translate one file and the Launcher gets the things he needs from this file.
Maybe John is planning something similar here.
It would be very easy to translate as you only have one file to change for different languages.
