Removing the Firefox Icon

I'm creating a redistributable version of Firefox Portable and according to Mozilla's trademark policies, if alterations are made to their program, then the Firefox logo and all instances of it needs to be removed. Any idea how to switch out the Firefox icon with one of my own?

Not just the logo.

You can't even call it Firefox. The name has to be changed as well.

No Community Editions ATM

The trademark policy that applies to community editions does not apply to portable versions as the changes fall outside the scope of the changes allowed in the community edition document. This is according to Mozilla. We were planning on setting up the ability for people to do community editions of the portable package... the official name would be "Firefox Community Edition, Portable" but we hadn't finalized the structure of it all. And we're still working on licensing stuff. (yes, still) So, there's no community edition at the moment. And no ETA.

Since it is open source, you can, of course, recompile Firefox and the Firefox Portable launcher without the Mozilla trademarks and names and redistribute it. You just can't call it Firefox.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Bah.

I still think "Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition" is an entirely unwieldy name. And "Firefox Community Edition, Portable"... ick. Damn Mozilla and their draconian trademark policies. Sad They should have just let us call it Firefox Portable, like we wanted to. It's not like we were misleading anyone into thinking it was an officially-supported edition...
