InfraRecorder is a good

InfraRecorder is a good replacement for Nero in my opinion..it is open source
http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/

and check out OSALT.com...it lists commercial apps and open source alternatives...some of the OS apps are Linux only tho, the operating system they can run on aren't very easy to find unless u click on each individual app and look at the info box to the right...or sometimes it is a very light gray color just under the app name

Odd...

ImgBurn's interface looks almost identical to DVD Decrypter's. What's up with that?

late response

this is a late response to this topic, but for a ConvertXtoDVD replacement, check out DVD flick. On one of my machines, I found it's faster than ConvertX.

And given the up and coming v1.3, it think it really will rival ConvertX (and without that crappy default menu design ConvertX has).

Otherwise, I swear by CDBurnerXP and Imgburn (as ImgBurn has better image options than CDBurnerXP).
