I've just posted a pre-release of FileZilla Portable 2.2.32. In addition to the usual update of FileZilla, this new release includes an updated launcher (hence the pre-release test). The launcher now stores your settings within the FileZillaPortable\Data\settings directory. On launch, it moves them to the FileZillaPortable\App\filezilla directory so FileZilla can use them. On exit, it moves them back. This way, it automatically works with PortableApps.com Backup without the extra hack that was doing it earlier. And, as with all the other apps, you can now delete just the Data directory to reset all settings in FileZilla Portable (handy for resetting to defaults or making a copy for a friend). Multiple launches are handled correctly as the launcher just keeps track of running instances. The only downsides are that the FileZillaPortable.exe launcher now has to stick around. And, although you can use local and portable copies side by side, the portable launcher won't close until all copies of FileZilla are closed.
Please give it a try and let me know what you think.
FileZilla Portable 2.2.32 Pre-Release 2
UPDATE TO PRE-RELEASE 2 (April 20): The package has been updated to use the new NSIS-based installer along with VLC and Thunderbird. Please try it out and ensure it works correctly with the old menu (1.0/1.0.1) new menu (1.0.2 betas) and standalone.

Check that you got the whole file. The Md5 is cb6318b57b3de2f0a43ab9dccd63f8a2 and size is 2.34 MB (2,463,543 bytes). If you see anything else, your download was incomplete.

The link looks like a direct download, but it is not.
Installed fine when I did it right.
Thanks.

All SourceForge links from other sites look like direct links but never are. You've been here long enough to know that

But that would involve thinking.
BTW-I just found a good portable MD5 Hash checker so I can not bug you about it next time.

Tried "manual" and PAM install, both worked fine.

I didn't find anything that was left, except the usual MRU & Prefetch.

I decided to repackage it with the new installer I've been working on since folks seem to like it based on feedback from Thunderbird and VLC.

any reason for you to believe the new installer wouldn't work with the menu?
Cause you always want people to make sure it does work.

Mainly because it's brand new. The menu was written to be able to work with these NSIS-based installers, but this is the first time they've been publicly released.

"Now I can see" said the blind.
Looks like it works without a glitch.

With VLC & Thunderbird the install dir was "x:\PortableApps\{appdir} but with this it's "\{appdir}". I don't know if that's a big deal or not, just thought I'd let you know.
EDIT: Ah, I just realized, the standalone has "\{appdir}", but if I install using PAM it's "x:\PortableApps\{appdir}"

Just a small suggestion.
When doing a manual install, could the install search for the \PortableApps directory and select it by default.

Funny you should suggest that. I was working out a method to do that efficiently while I was at the gym.
