I was actually wondering

I was actually wondering about that; since I've just got hit with a small case of lazyiness: Can you just copy/paste the files that have been burned to a disc to the key? I haven't actually had time to play with making my compy boot with a key yet, so this is fairly new territory. Forgive me if the question is just a touch dumb. Blum

Few steps

1. The drive has to support being bootable
2. The drive has to be formatted as bootable. There are a couple utilities floating around that can assist with this including an HP thumbdrive format utility
3. You need to copy all the files

Cool, ok. How would I find

Cool, ok. How would I find out if my key supports booting? I've already acquired the HP format tool a little while ago, but havent't used it because I STILL have to check my BIOS...A 48 hour day would be so lovely...

Documentation

Check your key's documentation. If it doesn't say, you can just try the HP utility. There is a chance it could kill your key, though.

PE Builder (http://nu2.nu

PE Builder (http://nu2.nu probably) has a utility to format and create a bootable flash drive, if you have the right files (2, extracted from a 300MB+ Windows Server 2003 Service Pack). You might look there.
