hello...
i'm using sundbird portable by starting it from the tool PStart. it also starts with PStart! everytime sunbird starts, it loads twice... i've recorded a video (in german language, please watch it in the windows media player [sound doesn't run in vlc]): http://www.filefactory.com/file/b5e260/
(click on "Download for free with FileFactory Basic")
thank you!
If you run SunbirdPortable.exe how many times does it start?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
If you have the minimize to tray extension installed, that's the cause. It's known to do that to Sunbird, portable or not.
it always starts twice...
yes, i've installed "mintotry"... is a solution planned? i'd do it, but i don't know enough about programming
thank you for your really fast support!

a fix is planned, but that's been the case for a while. The extension works in FF and TB, too, and those are considered the priorities, so while they'll probably get to it eventually, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a new version of SB sooner than a new version of the extension that works with the current SB. In the meantime, if it really bugs you, stick with the lightning extension to TB. You get basically the same functionality.
Support? Wow, first time anyone (outside my family, anyway) mistook me for that. I just happen to have had the problem myself at one point.
thanks a lot for this support
i'll try your hints...
peace
the "mintotray"extension isn't portable but I never checked.
Just spreading rumours

of whether mintotray is portable or not. I tried it on an installed Sunbird and had the same issue with Sunbird starting twice.
I use it on FFP, TBP, and SBP, trust me, it is.
and do you have also the "double-start-problem"?
thx

it works just fine. The "double-start-problem" is a conflict between the extension and SB (which means it will also apply to SBP). This is a SB-only problem, and in no way effects FF, FFP, TB, or TBP
