I second the motion for inkscape portable edition
In reply to the last comment - I couldn't find a portable version, and I don't think there is one.
If you want to see something philisophical or something, don't look this space.
Hi, at the moment there is a German version based on the PortableApss template 1.4 and created with the help of Karl Loncarek (klonk) by ooodev.org.
You will find it here: InkscapePortable.
If John (and Karl) agree, we could create an English one and host it here on PortableApps.

I downloaded portable inkscape from sourceforge two days ago... http://downloads.sourceforge.net/inkscape/Inkscape-0.45.1-1.win32.zip?mo...
Just downloaded the zip file and decompress it on my pendrive.
I vote for portable inkscape (and portable scribus, and portable amsn, and portable sticky notes) in Portableapps.com format...
