The wonderful people at Novell/Suse and a bunch of GPL freaks decided to throw us windorks a bone... They built an Evolution client (Outlook alternative w/ Exchange support) for us! I would love to see a portable version of the product for my thumbie!

Get the current version from this link which will have the latest-n-greatest on the top.

Edit: the latest version doesn't work here (startX.exe errors out), so maybe try that older version. *shrugs*
Edit2: Older version linked to in the top post won't launch correctly either. Is there a pre-req or two I'm supposed to have installed to make this work?

I'd like this too, I like the Evolution client. I do like Thunderbird, but the calendar and task integration is still not good as good as Outlook. Evolution is not perfect either, but it does look nice. I will stay with Thunderbird for now, on all my machines, but if someone can do Evolution, I will go that way.
I have been using evolution for a long time - I have just found this new world of portable apps and would love to see evolution included. I have just convinced my MS XP wife to use portable apps - she loves it. I have 2 linux machines that she uses but she has MS XP on her laptop.
Also well done guys on creating such an amazingly useful suite!

I wouldn't get too excited about Evolution for Windows. Novell stopped supporting the porting to Win32 almost a year ago. The code is not quite beta and while the new 2.8.x has an installer, it will put a ton of entries in your registry and never really work. It's a shame because Novell had made a commitment then backed away.
