First Beta of a multilang installer based on the last installer of John

Hello John, @all
on the base of the last published installer version with the new Clamwin-Package I made a multilang-installer for all the multilang Apps like Clamwin, FileZilla, VLC and so on.

You will find it here.

I don't know if You working on it too John.
Feel free to use it for all Apps.

At the moment only the lang-strings for en and German are included.
Every language we want could we add soon if the Strings are avaiable.

Regards
Marko

Already Am

As I've mentioned, I'm already working on it. I need to have the strings re-licensed from the original contributors though as this won't be under a straight GPL. It's GPL with exceptions. I made it specifically so it would be incredibly easy to add in the strings. Just do the include of the MUI. Add in the strings. And add the language selector in oninit. Dead easy. I have a couple here (using French as well). I'm actually separating out the language files, though, along the lines of some of the other multilingual installers. I have a preview of it here.

Please be very clear that your package is not an official release and is not supported.

I didn't release it yet because it's not ready to be released and supported.

Good news!

"I made it specifically so it would be incredibly easy to add in the strings. Just do the include of the MUI. Add in the strings. And add the language selector in oninit. Dead easy"

That's exactly what I've done in my Beta Wink

"Please be very clear that your package is not an official release and is not supported."

Thats why I use the Beta/Testing Forum and the test-dir on the ftp!
If You work on it there is no need for my version.

BTW: Use the German strings traslated by me under the license You want Smile

Regards
Marko

While we're (sorta) on topic

Can I just suggest that you might want to say "This wizard will guide you through the installation of (whatever) Portable to your USB/flash drive"?
Can I ask what "a very low cost" is? Biggrin
Oh, and the database server just got too many connections.

I hate...

The word wizard in the installer, as far as I know, that's Microsoft lingo. Like, I don't see the installer performing any magic tricks? Blum I personally think Wizard should be changed to Installer or something else. Just personally though.

ask John...

... for the change of the en strings Smile
The strings are the same as in every NSIS-Installer at the moment.
I can change it, but John is working on it... so no in my mind no change is needed.
