I’m the creator and project manager of AccessFirefox.com.
It’s a website and initiative to promote Firefox accessibility and Firefox accessibility tools such as accessibility extensions and high contrast, large print themes plus general resources for persons with disabilities.
So far the site and project has been successful and it’s continuing to gain momentum thanks in part to the support and backing from Mozilla.
With all of that being said, I’ve compiled an accessibility version of Firefox (Access Now) by using Firefox Portable’s technology. It includes 5 simple extensions and 3 themes plus documentation on how to use the program and add-ons, credits, and I’m still working on licensing issues.
I’m aware of some of the aspects of Mr. Haller’s licensing (but not the copyright issues), and Mozilla is willing to work with me on their side of the legal issues.
But the most important part is getting it to work properly.
I successfully compiled and ran the program and all worked well, but now I really need some help. When I uploaded the program to my website and installed it on my other PC, it didn’t work as I hoped.
I’m trying to keep the whole process as easy and simple as possible because the target user will not be technically advanced. They need to be able to download it, open it, execute it, and have it run.
So I’m looking for someone who can step up and help me to get this project completed, a project manager so to speak. It’s all for a worthy and selfless cause and of course, Access Firefox is a non-profit organization.
I’ll check back here for replies but I prefer to correspond via e-mail because my Thunderbird is open for about 11 hours per day and it checks for new messages every minute. Thanks for your time.
