Does anyone know of any parental filtering software for web surfing that will install on portable drive and not require administrative priviledges?

About the only thing I have been able to find is an extension called "Worksafer". It's ok but not as discriminating as I need. It would be nice to be able to use some more mainstream software but all that I have tried need to have admit. priviledges.
Maybe someone could work on a modified version of AdBlock
I know a bit of Javascript

Not well, but I'm sure that with all of us, we could figure out something.

Im thinking Search the page for Nastys then if found Document.Open (or whatever it is these days

And then it could pop up with a page instead. "YOU ARE VIOLATING YOUR INTERNET USE PRIVLEDGES"
P.S.- Could we do it as a Firefox extension using XUL?

I just wanted thank all of you for showing an interest in a filtering extension. If I can help in any way, let me know......... The main thing that I need for it to do is filter content on Firefox browser and it not need admit priviledges to install.
I have created an example at http://cubegames.hostrocket.com/saferfox.html
Uses Javascript

Looks good.
Hmm, is it supposed to, when you click test load the test page and then imediately go back to the original?

well if you want a firefox extension there is BlockXXX
http://singlepointnetworks.com/ffext/blockxxx/
im not sure if anyone noticed my first post down there But I think that Naomi program should work and its freeware. Plus i havent tried it, so i would be interested in hearing how it works.
Tried them all. I couldn't get Naomi to istall without admit priviledges. Universal Extractor failed to unpack Naomi. K9 also needed admit. priviledges. BlockXXX installed but will not work with Firefox 1.5
you might need admin rights to unpack the setup file, it worked for me.
if you interested i unpacked and uploaded it here:
http://rapidshare.de/files/14006445/Naomi_3.2.80.rar.html
Naomi (freeware) should work.

I unpacked the setup file using 'Universal Extractor':
http://www.legroom.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Open_Source&file=inde...
and tested the portability with Sandboxie:
http://www.sandboxie.com/
if this sounds confusing just install the program and copy the folder in program files to the usb drive.
BTW if you're looking for a real webfilter i would reccomend K9:

I think what we need to do next is for every developer who is interested to list thier mozdev username (If that is how mozdev works) so that rmccue can add us to the 'SaferFox' project. Then we can pool all our knowladge together and split up the tasks.
