I'm sure this has been asked before but I wanted to be totally sure:
- is there anyway one can use TrueCrypt (www.truecrypt.org) on a Windows machine without administrator privilidges?
On my USB stick I have a good size TC partition with all my data, but when I go to the computers at school I can't do anything with it as I don't have admin privilidges on those computers.
Thanks...
as you found out, you cannot run it without admin privileges. If you need to like me however, use your flash drive on a computer without admin privileges, I recommend Dekart Private Disk..you can get the light version here, which is free - http://www.dekart.com/products/encryption/private_disk_light/
I actually purchased the regular version and it was well worth it; it works great for me on "locked down" computers.
I'm sure this has been asked before
Then why didn't you search?
